SPRING CITY, TN – Race Gas sponsored Driver Appreciation Night on August 27 at Mountain View Raceway, and Feature Race winners in five weekly racing Divisions picked up prize packages. Race Gas is part of the Contingency Connection Program at Mountain View Raceway for the 2022 racing season.
Hayden Cardwell of Knoxville, TN drove the #15h Hogan Racing Mastersbilt to victory in the 20-lap Sportsman Feature on Saturday night, August 27 and received a $295 Product Certificate from Race Gas.
Skylar Douglas of Clinton, TN won the 20-lap Open-Wheel Modified Feature Race in spectacular fashion, as he took his #14 Lisa’s Boutique Bandit to the outside groove on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval to come from third to first on last lap for the win and a $295 Product Certificate from Race Gas.
Lamar Hughes of Soddy Daisy, TN won the 15-lap Thunder Division Feature Race on Saturday night, August 27 at Mountain View Raceway driving the #66 Hughes Farms Camaro and picked up a Prize Package from Race Gas.
Point leader Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN won his first Front-Wheel-Drive 15-lap A Feature Race at Mountain View Raceway on Saturday night, August 27 driving the #s7 J&S Towing Honda and received Prize Package from Race Gas. Matthew Sullivan of Cookeville, TN also picked up a Race Gas Prize Package with a win in the 12-lap B Feature Race driving the #3 Sullivan Racing Chevrolet.
Nine-year-old Frankie Sharp of Crossville, TN padded his point lead with a win in the ten-lap Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Feature Race for kids 15 years of age and younger driving the #0 Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet. Sharp received a Race Gas Prize Package for the victory.
Mountain View Raceway is one of 50 Contingency Connection selected race tracks and racing series, and the only track in East Tennessee, which represents many motorsports vendors offering contingency awards to drivers during the 2022 racing season. Mountain View Raceway, through the Contingency Connection Program, will award over $100,000 in Special and Racer Rewards.
