Kinross Speedpark ready to wave green flag on Twin Sault’s Area again in 2018

KINROSS, MI-

Since 1995, the Kinross Speedpark has been providing fun, family entertainment every summer to race fans in the Twin Sault & surrounding areas.

Looking toward to 2018 season, Fox Boyz Racing and their 100% volunteer staff, is busy preparing for another exciting schedule of events at the 1/4 mile asphalt oval.

Located at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds in Kinross, Michigan - the Kinross Speedpark will run a total of nine (9) events during the summer of 2018.

The events will see the usual Sunday afternoon as the primary event day while special events will be showcased on three Saturday’s with the Season Championship on a Friday Night.

Marquee events added to this year’s schedule include the inaugural “Blue Deuce” John Lowery II Tribute (Sat. June 9) and “Babyshoe” (Sat. July 7) events.

While the summer will once again cap off with the prestigeous Memorial Invitational in memory of Randy Dewitt and Ted Brooks during the weekend of September 7th to 9th.

The “Blue Deuce” Tribute will pay respect to John Lowery II, whom our racing community lost in the summer of 2017. The Elmira, MI native was a regular competitor at Kinross the past three seasons among the ABC Stock Car B-Division and was highly regarded both on and off the track by his fellow competitors and track officials.

Modified fans won’t want to miss the “Babyshoe”. This event will act as a qualifier for the 5th Annual Hot Shoe 100 to be held the August 10/11 weekend at the Whittemore Speedway in Whittemore, MI.

The winner of the Kinross Modified feature event on this day will be locked in to the $10,024 to win show later this summer to our south.

While the Memorial Invitational in memory of Randy Dewitt and Ted Brooks will once again bring some of the best driver’s across Michigan, Ontario and the Midwest United States to the Speedpark in the fun-filled weekend at the track.

One year ago 107 competitors made their way to Kinross for this event.

All weekly programs, including the special events, will include at least three regular divisions of cars with Modifieds, ABC Stock Cars and Four Cylinders.

Heading into the 2018 season DUSTIN JACKSON (Modifieds), TONY RANKIN (ABC Stock Cars A-Division), BUDDY PALAHNUK (ABC Stock Cars B-Division) and BRENT FEWCHUK (Four Cylinder Division) are the defending track champions.
