Auto Value / Rudyard Auto Sales Fan Appreciation Day June 25th at Kinross Speedpark


KINROSS, MI- For the third time in a span of four weeks, the engines will roar through the Chippewa County Fairgrounds at the Kinross Speedpark this weekend.

This coming Sunday, June 25 is Auto Value / Rudyard Auto Sales Fan Appreciation Day at the races.

On tap is a full show of Modifieds, ABC Stock Cars and Four Cylinders while an added bonus for the racers and fans is double features in the ABC-A, ABC-B and Four Cylinders divisions.

Those three divisions will complete their features that were shortened by rain back on Week 2.

For fans attending the races, they can take advantage of the Fan Appreciation event as main grandstand admission has been reduced to just $5.

You read that right! Just $5 for Adults, Seniors and Students while Kids 11 & Under are ALWAYS FREE for an afternoon of fun, family entertainment at the track.

Intermission will see the youngest race fans be able to take part in the Kids Nickel Toss as well.

Leading in to the third points event on the 1/4 mile, second-generation driver DUSTIN JACKSON (#4, Sault Ste. Marie, ON) leads the Modified Division points standings.

He holds a five-point lead over Sault Ste. Marie, ON pilot CODY MACLEAN (#43), while Week 2 feature winner BUDDY GRAY IV (#24JR, Petoskey MI) rounds out the top three.

With one feature win under his belt this season, TONY RANKIN (#8, Kinross MI) continues to lead the ABC-A division over veteran competitor DENNIS AHO (#75, Sault Ste. Marie MI) and defending track champion, KEENAN SPURWAY (#0, Sault Ste. Marie ON).

Rookie of the Year contender BRANDON CARSON (#54, Petoskey MI) has the single point lead in the ABC-B Division over JOHN CARTER (#29, Sault Ste. Marie, ON) holding a 42 to 41 point advantage. JOHN LOWERY II (#2, Elmira MI) rounds out the top three.

BRENT FEWCHUK (#3, Sault Ste. Marie, ON) has picked up three checkered flags so far this season and with that holds the Four Cylinder Division points lead over Week 2 fast qualifier, DON DANGLER III (#15, Sault Ste. Marie, MI) and ROB WAGNER (#88, Desbarats ON).

Wagner picked up his 1st-career checkered flag at the track’s last event.

Kinross Speedpark, the Twin Sault’s ONLY asphalt racing facility, is conveniently located at Exit 378 off the I-75 at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds.
